Tips for the Perfect Marriage Proposal
A marriage proposal can be one of the most exciting, yet intimidating moments of your life. You want to make sure that everything goes smoothly and that you can create a positively memorable experience. Consider the tips listed below for creating the perfect marriage proposal.
1 – Propose with the Perfect Ring
The engagement ring is arguably the most important component of any marriage proposal. With virtually millions of rings to choose from, picking the right ring can be a daunting decision. Each ring is perfect in its own way, but you want to make sure that you pick the perfect ring for your sweetheart. If the two of you have already openly discussed getting married, consider ring shopping with her. If you want the ring and the proposal to be a surprise, you may be able to get some good council from your bride-to-be’s family and friends. For a beautifully brilliant ring that outshines diamond at a fraction of the cost, consider purchasing a moissanite ring. Moissanite is said to have been born of stardust and its beauty is hard to beat.
2 – Choose a Special Location
Make your marriage proposal more meaningful by proposing in a special location. Brainstorm a list of all of the places that are important to the two of you, such as where you first met, where you had your first kiss, or go to your favorite restaurant and propose there. You may even choose to recreate a special date that the two of you went on in the past.
3 – Set the Mood
Make sure that you are proposing to your sweetheart when she is in a good mood. There is nothing that could ruin your proposal faster than proposing on a day that she just got a speeding ticket and got yelled at during work. Talk to her about her day before you propose to make sure that you have picked a good one. However, even if her day has not been the best up until that point, you can help turn that around. You can set the mood for your marriage proposal by dressing up or doing something romantic such as scattering rose petals on the ground. You can add some suspense to your proposal by creating a series of clues for your sweetheart to follow before you propose. She will get the idea that something really special is about to happen, which may make her all the more excited.
4 – Have Someone Take Pictures
A picture is worth a thousand words. Preserve your memories of your marriage proposal by having a friend or family member there to take pictures or a video clip of you popping the question. If you want the proposal to be a surprise, it may be best to have your camera person hide in a place where he or she cannot be seen. You can also sneak a picture or video clip by proposing during a time when it would seem normal for those around you to be taking pictures, such as while opening Christmas presents or performing on stage.
Whichever way you choose to propose, make it special by putting great thought into every detail. After the planning is complete, relax and enjoy the moment.

My boyfriend should read this. Haha! It’s always a wonder how wedding proposals work. I always imagine mine in a fancy way then again, what actually matters is that when you and your love one tie the knot <3

My marriage proposal was quite private. No over the top set-up like the ones trending on YouTube. It was at the Kuwait Towers. Really simple but awesomely special.
