MAC Makeup Haul

By  |

As you all know, I am big beauty product junkie. I am addicted to purchasing makeup and skin care products. In a heartbeat I would choose a beauty product over clothing, shoes or accessories. It’s not like I don’t have any, as truth be told I have more than enough.

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you would be well aware that I am not a big fan of purchasing branded products. Not because I can’t, I simply prefer to try out “other” brands. Then again, I’ll never know the difference if I don’t. I am well aware that quality beats quantity, and even if there are small brands that are competitive I have yet to compare those I have tried with well known brands. You can already guess what I am thinking of … “how can I call myself a beauty enthusiast if I haven’t tried the big brands” so obviously I made my first MAC beauty product purchase.

I have purchased 5 MAC makeup product from their boutique located at La Rinascente in Milan. It was a very refreshing change for a moment … up until I saw my bill. Just for purchasing 5 items my bill sky rocket high to a whopping €111.50 Euros which would convert to $150+ in dollars. Yes, I was definitely in shock. Especially I have been receiving sponsored makeup goodies opposed to purchasing them on my own. What convinced me to make the purchase? I tried MAC’s in house make-up makeover at La Rinascente in Milan and was fortunate enough to find Paula, who’s such an awesome makeup artist! She worked her magic, whipped up her makeup brush and MAC makeup product and dolled me up in no time. Seriously speaking, she was able to cover up my blemishes and as well as my enlarged pores in no times. Then every step of the way she explained what she was doing and what product she is using. I’ll share more about that experience soon.

One thing I can point out right away is the fact that I can’t deny that MAC’s product quality is super awesome. I have never seen my makeup look so nice, not have any cakey spots despite having a dramatic makeup look. Make sure to visit back soon as I will be reviewing the products to share my opinion and observation. Then I found out that I got a prezzie from Joe. Wuhoo … 2 more MAC product to add to my haul! Awesome.

I could only imagine how much it would be if I have included those two more product to my haul! Thanks Joe for the awesome surprise! Love it to bits. I can’t wait to create more looks with my new makeup.

My love for beauty products allowed me to compare makeup and skin care side by side. From there I learn and find out which one works best for my combination skin type. Having oily and dry skin is quite a typical issue for women, which makes it a good topic to share on my blog as there are a lot of women [even men] that can relate to my topic. If y’all have questions or suggestions, feel free to send me a message on my blog’s contact form or share your comment below. 🙂 Until next, xx.
