Yes, Tangerine / Orange is the new color of 2012. Some of you may be a fan of bright colors, I on the other hand have been comfortable with solid dark colors. As a matter of fact, at one point I have only sported black and white all year. *pokerface* I know right? Totally crazy. So I have promised myself that this year before I turn another year older [no not anytime soon] I will try to be bolder and braver with fashion, style and life itself. We only live once right? So for my title, I did not literally mean the color of this year’s fashion is annoying itself. Although I won’t lie by telling you that it is so appealing to me, aas it makes me feel quite too bright. LOL. If you’re still clueless Annoying Orange is a character!

Now let’s get down to a much more serious talk. Okay fine, don’t open your eyes that wide…not that serious! Tangerine is definitely a bright color but does not necessarily have to be worn by itself. Mixing and matching should do the job or you can also try color blocking and even accentuating with accessories. That should tone down the bright shade. Here’s a few sample you can check out…
Not bad right? Since I don’t have any outfit in Tangerine or Orange I decided to dress up a picture of myself in paper doll style. Don’t be laughing now! I just did it to capture the whole idea.

I’m also fond of darker colors.. *apir* At the latter parts of 2011, I’ve actually just worn either black, brown, beige or white.. :)) I have some orange pieces though and I love having some orange accents especially with an all-black ensemble.
Btw, sometimes I get really irritated at the annoying orange. But nevertheless, love love the color tangerine/orange.. 🙂

hahaha maka orange diba? Kaso di ako mahilig sa orange. One time lang ako nakapag all orange grade 6 ako noon :)) Naku ewan kung ano iniisip ng mama ko noon. Walking Ponkan kinalabasan ko. 😛 Pagisipan ko paano ko kumbinsihin sarili ko to shop for this shade. :))

Just dropping by your blog. Tangerine is a really nice color kaya lang it’s too bold, nakakatakot baka hindi ma-pull off. I tried Tangerine colored lipsticks before, but hindi sa damit. I might try soon though, thanks for the inspiration! Tee hee 😀

I’m glad you are. Not many are familiar with annoying orange. Some of my friends just gets the quizzical look when I mention that topic. Yup it is the “in” color for 2012. I still have yet to buy an orange shade tho’. No worries for the late visit. Better late than never.
