The BB Cream Debate

I have been hearing so much about BB creams or also known as Blemish Balm and Beblesh Balm. I’m pretty sure most or maybe even all of you dear readers have. For those of you who are wondering what BB creams are…

It is originally formulated in Germany and were initially custom made to help laser surgery patients protect and recover highly sensitive skin. Not only that, it is said that BB creams help diminish scar and heal acne and blemishes.

BB creams come in a variety of different formulations. Some are said to have skin whitening or brightening properties, others are anti-acne, some are anti-wrinkle, some are intended to even out skin tone, and yet others to lighten blemish scars. BB creams are sometimes used like a primer under foundation, and if tinted may even replace foundation and some newer ones will have functions of primer, foundation, moisturizer, sun block, pore minimization and skin refining together which can save time and money in make-up.

Now, it is no longer just for the post-surgery patients but can now be purchased at any drugstore or beauty shop.

So I’ve decided to get one for myself… but then.. there goes the big question “which brand should I choose” …

There are a lot of other brands still that I have not mentioned, like Dr. Jart and The Face Shop. If you’re wondering why the banner for the said brands looks different, that’s because I took the liberty of modifying it for my personal use. Anyway after much deliberation from reading and watching youtube reviews… I finally have made up my mind.I’ll be trying out first the Missha BB cream. I’ll post my review after using it for a few times when it arrives. Til’ next, xoxo

Apparently South Korea is about 12 years ahead of the US when it comes to the skincare world and is only waiting to be discovered by the rest of us. Just like the South Korean inventions that became an international sensation – eyelash extensions and the blemish balm cream craze (or also known as BB cream). […]
