My Style

Classique: Ramenez le style Vieux

By  |

I’m a big fan of classic and vintage fashion. The way they wear their clothes and feathered or netted hats. The way the ladies of the 50’s, 60’s, or 70’s bring themselves looks superbly fabulous! I have nothing against fashion of the 80’s and 90’s but I just can’t help but adore the classic way of dressing up. If I can I’d say bring back the oldies! Hence, the title of this post. I know I don’t have a Marilyn Monroe locks or a Dita Von Teese physique, but that won’t stop me from trying to sport the same look. If we love something we should go for it, that’s how I view things. So for today let me share a little look I have mixed and matched.

As you may see that shawl is not really a shawl. LOL. Its actually a scarf that is stretchy in material and I have always been fond of furry like texture. Every time I wrap it around my neck I usually say I wish I have a top with the same fabric, then obviously the DIY diva in me thought why don’t I try using it like one? *trollface* So, came this look where it seems like I’m actually wearing a very nice looking top / shawl. The flower in the scarf is not really a pin or a brooch, it fell off from an old headband and I decided to keep it for future use. I guess i finally did find a good use for it. Hopefully you enjoyed my share today. Til’ next, xox.

Classy is awesome and you look really good! Might I suggest a solid colour of pants, like black? You’d look pretty stunning and I think they’re probably more flattering than a pattern. It would be very Dita Von Teese (she’s gorgeous by the way!). If you can’t look like someone, steal their style – that’s my idea. XD

Loving the hat – classy hats like that are a need for my wardrobe as I have none. πŸ˜›

The shawl still looks really nice. I have a scarf that is actually really wide so it works as a kind-of-shawl too. x)

Hope you have a wonderful start to the new year! And many thanks for the comment – I do hope you get to see a band live one day. Try checking out local bars or clubs to see if they have anyone playing. Even if you don’t like them it’s a good way to find out about new music ^^ And a good experience too!

It’s like your theme for the outfits are going back to the 80s / 70s. Haha.
