DIY: Ribboned Camo Top

By  |

I have made up my mind. I’m going to start doing more DIY entries. I used to do a lot of them back in the day. I had tons of arts and craft books as I was growing up and had always had a big fascination for mixing and matching. Well, I have realized that I do have a place to share my ideas, and even my weird style and such here in my blog. Who cares if anyone disapprove. Not like any of you would really waste time to tell me off. Plus bashers and haters will only end up encouraging my conceit so that still works for me. Lah! Anyway… I have started ransacking for old clothes and stuff that I can recycle and I have found a few already. Geez my brain is just working non stop for ideas. Then there are those days when I am simply clueless on what to share. So while my creative juice is still at work… time to get to work. :]

Since I am into fashion I have seen a couple of girls wearing camo jackets and I have always wanted one. Except they are quite expensive if you buy it tailored to a certain size and shape. While the original one is too big! So obviously I’m quite lost. I resorted to the cheaper version, to what I have at hand which is the actual camo ones and it is huge! So I got my working hands started and here’s what I end up with…

Tons of ribbons all over and have shrunk in size too! It still needs some more tweaking but for now it will do the job. At least its not extremly oversized like it used to. I will be sharing an outfit post for this soon. Til’ next! xox

For some reason, while I was reading this post, I thought of the song “Run The World” by Beyonce. Lmao! This camo jacket went from totally boring to totally AWESOME! Love it!

I get so attached with my old clothes din… but then I figured I rarely wear and most likely never will, unless I recycle and convert it to something new. 😛 I actually have strip it off and just tied it up like a ribbon…. 😀 matrabaho lang sa oras.
