Have it Your Way

By  |

Hello Loves! 🙂 I wonder how y’all are planning to end your year and welcome the new one coming. I know most of you would celebrate it with your fambams [family] or be out partying. Today I won’t sharing any outfit or review post like the usual. Prolly not even tomorrow *ZOMG* I know… but that can wait. 😛 Anyway, I am heading out to celebrate New Years so before I go I decided to share what I did last night… I made my second try for a 2-layer cake [So scared it would be so crappy like my first] and luckily it turned out good this time. Maybe 3rd time is a charm and be able to perfect it and make a cake that looks like it is bought from a real bakeshop like Red Ribbon or Goldilocks. Still, my red velvet cake coated in chocolate turned pretty delish! *Feels Like a Boss* Here’s a few snaps…

Red Velvet Cake

Looks good right? It is! Also, for those of you who don’t know yet it has been 6 years now since I left my mama’s house and lived away from home. Sometimes it is sad because I miss being around her but then we all have to grow up at one poiint right? I supposed I just grew up a lot more earlier than other as I started off living on my own at the age of 20. About a month after I turned 20 I moved out and went back to California to try and get myself a job and work and try to help with my fam’s expenses. I managed a lot of hardship and even homesickness. I went through so much ups and downs including discrimination and getting laid off. I am proud that at my age I have learned and accomplished what I have. Although, in my personal opinion nothing can beat working at the convenience of your own home as a blogger. 🙂 Well, enough about my rant… time to get y’all more hungry. What good will a dessert do if I don’t share a nice appetizing meal 😛 Mmmn…

Hungry Nao? LOL. Simple dinner at Hops with the boyf. Simple pleasures in life that can’t be bought with money. These are what keeps my heart happy and content. Well I hope you all had fun with my short post for today. Looking forward to hear from y’all. xox

Ha ha, it’s always fun to try baking – I shudder to think how anything I’d bake would come out.

Oh wow, really? You moved out at 20? It’s admirable that you got a job and still contributed money at home. Also, how you stayed strong though it all. Congrats <3

Aaaaah, look at all of that food! yum 🙂

All the best for 2012 🙂

The cake you baked looks so yummy ah! 🙂 And wow, being a new reader of your blog, I didn’t have the slightest idea that you moved na pala at a young age! Props to you Ms. Angela for being so brave and taking on tons of challenges in life kahit you were still young. Nahiya naman ako, I’m 20 now and I haven’t done anything so drastic pa.

Anyway, loving your simple yet gorgeous look here.
