Let me guess? Cupid went on a striking spree with his arrow, leaving some totally in love and a few dating themselves or dating a social network. Honestly, I really think cupid needs to get himself some glasses. Taken or not we have tons to be thankful of and be happy about. Love is not just by means of having a partner. It can also be shared and spent with friends and family, which is why I don't understand the sulky updates I see and hear all over social networks.

I was planning to make an outfit post yesterday but I have decided to skip a day and took a little break from my regular fashion or beauty update. Nonetheless, I am back with an outfit post that is wearable in any occasion that is easy to pair with anything. Yep. Anything. You can pair it with jeans, shorts, skirts, rompers and is easy to wear as a casual attire or for going out as a girly girl, chic or even as rock star diva for night outs at a nearby bar.

XiaXue over Adele

Okay... before anything else I want to clarify that I am not hating on XiaXue! If you're a regular reader, or a personal friend you would know how much I love and adore her. Heck if you don't know that I am a big fan of hers, let me tell you myself that I want to be a well known blogger like her [reference 1, 2]. As well as look gorgeous even if she's in her mid-20's already. I have sported blonde locks before and to date I am trying to get to that, also my web layout is highly inspired of her old web design. So--- YES I love Xiaxue and this is NOT a hate post on her.

Call me a copycat and I would most likely consider that as a compliment 'coz that would mean that I am doing okay/good on trying to resemble her. She's like a walking talking barbie doll. :)

Anyway, as always I am just blog hopping and part of my typical visits is obviously to see if dear Xiaxue had made any updates. I love how she is so true to herself and is not embarrassed at all to admit she had plastic surgery and that if she dislikes someone she will say it flat out. I love her feisty, strong willed character but her last update really made me sad and at the same time hurt. WHY you asked? Because of her comment about Adele. Because I really feel like it shouldn't just be pointed alone to her.

What I am trying to say is that a person's thought or opinion can only go so far depending on how people react to it. If it doesn't affect many [good or bad] it would most definitely be ignored... but if they think it is in a way relevant, all of a sudden people would make it relevant and even trending. Just like when Rebecca Black had hit it her single "Friday" which I hishly dislike. So if we are going to blame anyone, it us the people who made it that way. Not just one person.

Xiaxue definitely pointed out her thoughts well. I just wished she didn't just pointed it all towards Adele. Yes, I also love Adele hence the blog post about this. I have seen the quotes all over tumblr, supposedly quoting Adelle for making mock comments but I highly doubt that all of it is true. I am just trying to point out that these so-called quotes may not really be from Adelle and had been made up by bloggers who wants to make some meme or puns.

Is she trying to say that somehow, if she were to show her boobs and her bum now (no thanks) that immediately her music will become a pile of shit?

I honestly feel like she just wants to share good music without the need to show off some skin. Bringing in her music to listen to [which is what it is intended for] and not just to feast on [which is meant for music videos] is something I totally commend. True that she is justifying herself in some ways but this is very common to any celebrities or anyone at all. We all have tendencies to justify but I highly doubt that she meant to INSULT anyone. With that I really believe the following quote is not from Adele.

Another thing, mag covers of Adele are highly photoshopped. I honestly thought Xiaxue would see this one out. Adele cannot control how the Magazines would process the pictures, and even made news all over that some mags are overdoing it because Adele is trying to share to the world the beauty of her music [not for eyes] so it is unnecessary to give her a whole photoshopped look. But obviously, we all know already how that turned out. Cussing over one person when the whole problem address the whole society is what gets to me. I really see Xiaxue as someone I can look up to and I just wished she can address this more in general.

Yes, I made a whole blog entry about how I feel after all isn't that what blogging is all about? Share your own thoughts and point of view. To simplify my message, I just wish that she wouldn't weigh all this on Adele from the quotes floating all over the www. Another thing is that Adele is not FAT, she started loosing weight and when she used the term "curves" even if it is just another way of saying FAT she still did not use that exact word. Not all people can control how their body is built and Adele is just sharing her point of view.

Last but not the least, I will always adore and love Xiaxue just had to bring this up because I think of her highly and may just be able to reach her and help her see things in a different perspective.

Captivating Curls using a Flat Iron

One more day til the big Hearts day! Have you already prepared what outfit to wear? Where to go, how to celebrate, and if you're keeping things simple or going all out? Throughout the years I have met many who are in Love with the idea of being in-Love (like me), or some who had experienced hardship and had been toughened up to the core. I wouldn't refer to them as "bitter" as I have been in that position before where I just prefer not to make such a big deal out of it but not because of anything negative. Some people just prefer to keep things simple.

For those of you who are still in the last minute hunt for your special gift, remember it is not about the price tag... it's the thought that counts. :) For men, kindly please remember to avoid using those velvet small box where a ring can fit to avoid misunderstandings. Even if your intention is nice, it can lead to getting some hopes up for a proposal. Yep. We all know some women are just waiting for you to pop that question so save us all from trouble and avoid that little box. If it's an earrings, necklace or bracelet make sure to ask the jewelry store for a box that is not shaped meant for a ring. :) All else you should be good. Flowers and Chocolates may be cliche but some women are old fashion that way. :D

We all know we have that bad hair moment, and its simply terrible to look like a wretched witch on heart's day. Nina Mercado asked how I did my curls, so I thought it would be perfect to make a post for this.

Review + Tip on Looking Fab Wearing Glasses!

Yes you read that right! This post is for my lovely geeks, the bookworms, or the fashionista who have a poor eyesight. That's right... who says we have to give up our optics to keep our "professional" or "geek" like look! I for one love to keep my glasses on some days, and on other days I wear lenses by itself [specially on parties], but there are those times where I want to mix it up!

Some of you may have wayfarers, aviators, spectacles or designer glasses (which we all know cost some serious bucks), so why keep it in a case right? I'd say flaunt it and be proud of it. Two years ago, on my birthday I have gotten an upgrade for my glasses from the boyf. He knows how much I love looking fab, so he took me to an Optical store and that's how I got my white Armani glasses. So you can guess already that I am not stashing them rims away just like that. So when I said I like to mix it up to look fab, I keep my glasses and wear lenses to change up the color of my eyes and some design even help enlarge my eyes! After all, having chinky eyes I can really use some good help open them up.

My best pick for this look is KiwiBerry1's G&G No.4 brown lens. With it Neutral shade and natural design it's everything that I need to spice things up a bit.

The design is really simple, and when worn I could barely I even have any lens on. Its more like I have a natural brown eyes on the very first place. For design and comfort I would definitely vouch for KiwiBerry1's lenses. Not only that their shipping is fast, reliable, and they package their item very well to secure that it will arrive safely to its destination.

Sometimes, I also love to try big rimmed glasses for a change. There's something sexy with nerdy like look and since I am a gamer girl too [addicted to playing games] this suits me up just right. Check out some pictures...

Verdict: The lens enlarges my eyes while keeping a natural look. It does not dry up and requires minimal touch up or lubrication. The color blends well with natural dark colored iris. If you're into bold and vivid look, they have a wide variety of designs to choose from.

Overall: 10/10 For fast shipping and well packaged product. For the changing the color of my eyes I'd give it 8/10 and for enlargement its 9/10 total.

Hey y'all! I am very grateful for all the support and love you have shared regarding the "Hearts Adore Dress" from Conversation Pieces. As promised, I am sharing the other dress today and my video post for this mini haul. I totally recommend watching the vid so you can see me try on the lovely dresses side by side.

For those of you who are way ahead of the season [specially those living in Los Angeles, Orlando and Asia] where snowing is unlikely to visit... then wearing dresses is definitely one your top choices. I'll let you in on a little secret... Quite a few years back I normally don't sport dresses, I'm a jeans, jeggings, and shorts kind of girl ---but ever since boyf have shown appreciation on how above the knee cut dresses accentuates my legs and curves, I obviously learned to appreciate dresses more. Wearing dresses is not just for women who loves to look girly or feminine, it is also for the ladies who have been blessed with "pocket-size" height [like yours truly] and wearing jeans just makes me look as short as I already am while dresses gives that long legs illusion. Yes fashion lovers, I have fell in love ---yet again. This time, it's not about the shoes or the person wearing them. Now it is all about the dress that leaves everyone impressed!

Who wouldn't love this heart shape denim bodice and keyhole back designed dress? I would definitely say this is a must have for every fashionista who wants to bring out that lady-like look in them.

We all have heard of the Royal wedding, we have secretly admired Kate Middleton's lovely ensemble, and this dress is the perfect ensemble for that. It accentuates a woman's silhouette, showing enough skin but not overdoing it. Way Ready for Summer!

Hey y'all! Yes, some of you may be wondering what's up with my entry for today especially if you live in a country that has 4-seasons. I do, and at the moment it is currently winter here and just about to turn spring in a month or so but from those who lives in Florida and in Asia summer is just around the corner. Honestly, I love summer and I can have it all year long and every time I visit the Philippines or Orlando, Fl no matter what time it is of the year it is always "summer" like for me. Right now, I am freezing over the snow here and I am already dreaming and drooling over sun bathing, sun tanning and running wild all over the sand and going for nice long swim (soak) in sea water. Even if there is no beach nearby I always look for the nearest Lake or pool as I am just that crazy over water. Someday I wish to have a house where we have a swimming pool.

Anyway, for those of you who are about to have summer anytime now you would surely love what I have to share for today. :) I have had the opportunity to review a wonderful new product "Sand Gone" a dry body powder that, when applied to sand covered skin, removes the sand and leaves the skin soft and smooth while feeling fresh and clean.

You are Who You Are: Express Yourself!

For quite some time now I have been drooling over maxi skirts or anything bohemian inspired ensemble. In my opinion, maxi skirts that are made of mesh, almost see through like material or asymmetrical gives that "mysterious" yet "feminine" feel to the person wearing it. Obviously, yours truly have the maxi skirt lined up for my next outfit post ---and finally, that day is today! Whoo-hoo.

The bohemian look is not easy to pull off, as it is not something that I always see with Asian women. Why? Because most boho / maxi skirts are really long and most Asians I know are short if not pocket size. There are few who are born with the "model-genes" and have been blessed with 5"8 and up in height. Sadly, as much as I love my "cute pocket size" height it doesn't do me any good when it comes certain outfits like these. I bet you're already wondering, what really is my height. Naturally I would blurt out 5"3 [but that's because I am always wearing heels that no one would really notice the difference], but I am ---uhm--- 5"1 -_-" Yep. I'm a shorty. It may sound cute for a while but when you turn 25 and your boyf is waaaay taller than you, then that's a whole different issue.

Anyway, I was wondering what should I wear my maxi skirt with. After all I need to find a way not to drag the skirt all over the floor. That should be fine if I am attending an awards night or if I will be walking the red carpet, but I'm not. So I have decided to go for my colorful butterfly print top and my platform beige boots... except how do I accessorize? Bangles would be fine as its neutral and wouldn't clash with my printed top but what about the necklace and earrings? I chose to wear my beaded choker necklace in plain pearly white shade and silver toned, shell shaped earrings. Although it looks a bit dull --- thankfully, I have received the Peacock Feather Ear Cuff just in time. You can already imagine my delight. It adds the perfect earthly feel to my ensemble.

Yep... you got that right! I did say search me, but I did not literally mean search like as if you're a popo (police). LOL. Honestly I do search for myself on google to see what comes up and what are there for me to discover about myself. I know, I know, I should be embarrassed for being self centered and checking myself out but for someone who had a long love/hate relationship on what gets posted online I have to wary. Not making any sense? During my younger days [not that I'm that old okay?!] I did have my share of modeling some lingerie, posing for racing car and bikes and such.

While most of those photos were intended to stay *private* some people managed to find a way around it and decided to share it. I don't mind as it really is a part of my past but they did not have my permission to do so, which makes me very upset. For any bloggers who have their content copied, that is the case of plagiarism. Same idea over the pictures for me. Yes they are of matured theme but hey, as long as I am not doing anything to harm other people that's fine. Plus my modeling gigs had helped me pay for my bills. Including some of my college expense back in the day.

Anyway, so I have received this cute "FUNNY IRISH T-SHIRT" that resembles Google Search design. I think it really is a neat way to promote "irish" related ideas as after all we do rely most of our queries by searching for the right answer. The site offers a whole load of funny phrases and cute Leprechaun but this specific design caught my eye. Here's a few pics...

Also, for those who have a watchful eye I noticed the "buttons" falls right in the middle of my chest which makes it more funnier and humorous. What do you think of the shirt? I really like it. Let me know. xox ♥

Mashup: Vintage and Pinup Look Ensemble

Finally! I managed to find the time to mix and match an ensemble for an outfit post. For the love of vintage inspired outfits and pin-up / retro makeup looks, I decided to do both on this entry. My little corner for doing my makeup, tutorial, and crafts is starting to come along nicely so I am sharing a few snaps so y'all can take a little look. I am trying to fix it up asap as I did receive a few room tour request which I will also feature on my youtube channel.

The whole pin-up / retro look is defined with bright red lipstick and accentuated with dewy or pastel shade of eye shadow. The hair is pulled up nicely and secured in a bun like shape matched with a bunny ears headband. For accessories, it is always on the minimal side so I thought a lovely pair of earrings would be perfect. So when I received the white feather earrings a few days ago, I knew already it would be perfect for this mash-up I had in mind.

For privacy reason I have blurred out the address on the envelope. The packaging is very nice and secure. As you all know I love pink to bits so everything with a touch of that girly shade gets a + factor. The envelope had been labeled that it is fragile so it should not be bent and the feather earrings had been wrapped in a bubble wrap then stashed inside a pink pouch. How lovely! Let's Have That Talk

Last week had been hectic, and seems like next week won't be any different. I don't know when can I actually say that my schedule isn't all crammed up. Maybe when I finally have my planner at hand that I may be able to manage my time efficiently. A few days ago I was just tweeting to April of www.miss-april.info that I am working hard to improve my blog. I have tons of drafted files from my recent move of blog server. Tumblr and Blogspot are two different interface and therefore have different formatting so I have to do a lot of major work to import files. To date I haven't finished it all and I intend to get on top of it and finish it hopefully this month. As I was saying, April said I'm getting too engrossed coz of my "OC" ish. Which is true, once I get into something I simply can't drop it.

Note: I'll let you in on a little secret ---I have retaked an old vid, deleted the "uglier" version [or so how it looks in my eyes] and uploaded the new version in my youtube channel. I have also decided to delete the old tutorials in my old channel and plan to upload those in my current channel just because I can. Or to simply put it, I just want them to be in one place. OCD much! FUUU!

Oh my, time flies by quickly huh? Before you even know it, it's already the Love Month! A whole month had already past for the year of 2012! Any plans for the hearts day? I'm sure some of you are working on new outfits, or maybe even a new look. Maybe even try on a new lipstick? Who knows if you'll end up lip locking by the end of the day. :)

Sometime last month I have hauled tons of Cover Girl lip pot lipstick which I never got the chance to share an entry for. I've been too busy and side tracked. Having enlarged pores is a very common issue for us women [and even men]. Which is why I have decided to share how I try to fix mine up. Just like everyone else I have been left miserable looking for answers and fix for my pores. If I have the money to spend I would have opted out for a micro-dermabrasion to fix and heal my damaged pores. The major problem with pores is that when you don't treat them right, they become clogged and enlarged. Ugh!

Microdermabrasion significantly lessens the appearance of pores by "roughening up" skin, therefore loosening the dead skin that clogs pores. It also stimulates collagen so skin looks really smooth. You can have it done by a pro; American Laser Center has medical professionals on staff to oversee treatment. -iVillage

Basically, I can also get myself a microdermabrasion system that I can use at home but even that is still heavy on the budget. Yikes! So I obviously chose to go for the least expensive one for a temporary fix. Better than nothing right? Moving on... Treating enlarged pores at home isn't all that hard.

Hello Hime Gyaru Lovers! I'm sure many of you are familiar with the term "gyaru" already as I have shared a tutorial post for that look before. While for those of you who aren't, Hime Gyaru refers to a princess gal style wearing pink makeup, big and bold eyes, long lashes, with light skin or tan and big poufy hair like bouffant and beehive. They accessorize with shiny blings on their nails and phones, charms, pearl necklace and purse bags with a mix of white and pink or black and pink.

I love Japanese fashion so much and try my best to sport the look as much as I can. Remember how shiny and shimmery my phone looks? :P haha. For as long as I can remember I have been sporting glue-on nails, fimo nail art, stickers and even gems but I have never had the chance to try false nails with design and blings or gem stone at the same time. So when I had the opportunity to try out one for the first time I immediately went raving like a mad woman. LOL. The days that passed by had been long but totally worth the wait. Verdict: The Nails had been well design and carefully blinged out. Very professional and sophisticated with a touch of girly-ness. Easy to wear and very sturdy. The gems stays put and doesn't fall off even after a long time of wearing.

Overall: 10/10 For the fast shipment, secured packaging, and design. The glue they provided is about 1/8 of the bottle and I wished they have given more so I'd give that a 9 and for the double sided tape a 10. As a whole totally recommended and a must buy.

Whom of you are tired of having dry lips? I sure am. For as long as I can remember I always end up with dry lips and occasionally having good supple lips naturally during summer. So most often than not I have dry flaky lips unless I keep moisturizing with chapstick or lip balm ---until I discovered a better way to keep dry lips off. At least until I forget to do my little trick and there goes that icky and ugly un-kissable lips. Yes, I said it! I have once forgotten about my lips and gave my boyf a smack on the lips and guess what? Instead of uttering sweet nothings I ended up being embarrassed. Why? He just blurted out "Love, your lips are dry its hurting my lips" =.= You can already imagine how that feels.

Aside from that, there’s nothing more annoying than lipstick that looks flaky or blotchy because of uneven dry skin in the lips and sometimes chapstick can't get the job done or at least asap. So what's my secret? The trick is to get rid of all the dry flaky skin before you moisturize.

Just mix together a packet of sugar in the raw [or brown sugar], 1/4 tsp of lip balm [or petroleum jelly like vaseline], and a few drops of olive oil [or baby oil], and rub them vigorously on your lips for about 60 seconds. Scrub off the dead skin cell using a toothbrush or disposable mascara wand and then wash it all off and finish it with a plain lip balm or petroleum jelly. Do this at least two to three times a week and you will see a huge improvement, winter or summer!

Now, isn't that quick and easy? You won’t believe what a difference it makes! I tried it and I love the results... now I just need to remember to do it religiously.

Exfoliating is very important because it gets rid of all of the dead skin off your lips. Why is it essential to moisturize after exfoliating? That's because it helps retain the moisture and suppleness of the lips. Follow this tip and you'll be on your way to a nice kissable and well pampered puckers! Til next, xox.

Hi lovely readers! I'm sure all of you are getting ready for the weekend already. Some of you may be planning to head out or have a little lunch date with friends. Since the weather is quite on the breezy and cold side, we tend to bundle ourselves up and forget about style and how we look. With all honesty, I have been there before and most often than not I have opted to wear less thicker jackets and decided to skip the winter coat altogether... except, I have realized I shouldn't be sacrificing my health over how I look. Verdict: The quality of the lens is excellent, it doesn't dry up and stays in place the whole time. The range of designs to choose from is totally of superb quality. The enlargment of my eyes is very noticeable even on indoor lighting Although some may have to actually pay close attention to my eyes. The design looks natural like and is barely even there to feeling. I could literally forget that lenses was even there on the first place..

Overall: 10/10 For having the lenses make my eyes pop-out while keeping the natural look. For the metal plate in the vials I'd give it an 8/10, as always I have struggled yanking it out nicely and had to use pliers to pry it apart.

FAQ: Skin Whitening

As promised, I will be sharing things about beauty related talk and for my first beauty topic for 2012 would be how to whiten and care for your skin. I have been chit chatting with my blogger girlfriends just last night, and some time last month I have been asked as well if there's any skin whitening tip that I can share...which is why I chose it for my entry today. :)

First and foremost of all just to clarify things I am naturally fair in complexion. So I can't guarantee how the effect will turn out on y'all. As time passed by, I have neglected my skin and have ended up with yellowish tan like shade. So I have tried every possible things I can to have a fairer complexion. Some products I have tried have been a disappointment, while some were a waste of time and money. I am sure you all have heard of Glutathione either in form of soap, cream, capsule, or injectable formula. There's also the goat milk and other kinds of body scrub. While I have tried Glutathione soap and Goat Milk scrub and Johnson & Johnson milk bath I have found myself in love with a less pricier option but the effect are just about the same.

WARNING: If you plan to whiten your skin please remember to avoid any direct contact with the sun. If in any way you know that you will be heading out and will be exposed to the sun make sure to stop all products you are using, even if it's just a soap or lotion at least 3 days ahead of time. Why? Because the sun will have an adverse effect on your skin (just to give you an idea it's like getting a sun tan).

Please be reminded that I am in no way a professional and I do not claim that these are 100% effective but from my experience and my best friend Rochelle's experience (we both have tried the same method) the tip I am about to share worked.

Recommended Products:

Sutla Whitening Soap
Kojie Acid Bar Soap
Calamansi also known as Calamondin

Usage:

Sutla Whitening Soap - daily use for soaping the body. I recommend to soap twice when taking a bath or shower. I prefer to soap myself up and scrub my body using a loofah or patola (got that from my great grandma) and when I'm done I'd proceed to shampooing my hair, then conditioner and so on and rinsing my body in the end. That way the soap stayed longer in my skin. After rinsing off the soap if I am not rushing I would re-soap myself again but this time without the scrubbing and then rinse. I'd finish it off with any lotion and dry myself quickly in front of a fan. :)

Kojie Acid Soap - If you already have the Sutla soap I only use the kojie soap 3x a week alternating it in between the usage of the other soap. In my opinion, doing it this way keeps my skin in a state that it doesn't get completely used to the effect of the other soap. Ever heard of the word adaptation? That's my take. It's up to you to do the same method or not. Being overseas and have no means of buying a replacement for the Sutla soap that I have finished [after using it daily] I use the Kojie the same way I use Sutla. But do remember that it can dry up your skin. Also, when I have first used Kojie my skin was a bit tingly [or kind of mahapdi] which tells me the soap is effective.

Calamansi - my favorite of all. This citrus fruit runs along with the lime and lemon family. Make sure when you purchase this little monster to choose the almost ripe ones. To be able to tell its soft and squeeshy green and just a hint of yellowish shade on some sides. Squeeze it out and slather it on your skin. Back in the day, people used to use this as well as a deodorant but had been found out to helps whiten the skin as well. This method is like bleaching your skin so "please" stay away from the sun or you'll be roasted in no time. I prefer to do this once a week or three times a week just depending on how lazy I am or how busy my schedule is. To avoid the icky feeling I usually apply the extract right before sleeping and making sure I dry myself first in front of a fan before heading to bed. This way my skin is soaked in the extract overnight.

Reminder:

Try this method at a shorter time frame to see if you don't have any allergic reaction to this method. I will not be held liable for any irritation of your skin. Please use with caution. Getting tingly skin is normal, but anything more than that then you might want to consider that you are not compatible with the product / method. If you are sure you are then you can gradually increase the time frame of leaving the product in your skin.

Review: Uniqso.com Prescription Lens

Hello there Nerdy readers! LOL. I meant that in reference to my readers who had been stucked behind their glasses. Nothing wrong with that! Although, every once in a while I like to try out wearing lenses to change my look and aura. After all, our look and how we style ourselves is how we are interpreted by onlookers. Like it or not, people can be very judgmental and for those who are into fashion and stuff alike, making and leaving the best impression is always a priority. With all that being said, contact lens is always the first bet to free ourselves from frames ---but! Not everyone can immediately get themselves a pair of a well designed contact lens. Why not? Well, I for one have been strained by my high eye grade. There's not a lot of contacts out there that offers -8 and above for the grade. So when I found out that Uniqso offers the grade for my eyes, I got totally excited to try their lens.

To top that, they offer design that is wearable with dark eyes [iris]. I originally have a dark brown eyes and I have tried other contact lens from Freshlook, Acuvue, etc. and the color of my eyes barely changed on those brands.

Verdict: I love the quality of the lens. Despite the fact that I have a very dark eye, the lens was able to make eye pop out and change my eye color. The black rim on the lens design had enlarged my eyes as well. Not super big but it did a good job. Very easy to apply and does not dry out. For Those who need lenses in high grade Uniqso definitely delivers.

Overall: 9/10 For having the lenses in my eye grade and for the quick shipping. I'd give it a 8 for the metal plate in the vials that made me go crazy prying it off the bottle. I know it is to secure the lenses inside but I was terrible struggling popping it off and scared I'll cut a finger. :( This item is available for $17.90 and comes with a free Lens Case. Totally Recommended and a must buy!

Hello lovely readers! Today won't be any different, my schedule is very hectic and I am still struggling keeping up with all my daily to-do task. Although, like I have mentioned before I do intend to make major changes to make sure I am not wasting any time. If you're a follower of this blog I am dead sure you're tired from hearing the same line over and over as I have been repeating myself from my past few entries or tweets. Well, I am proud to say that I have been able to do a lot of "blog management over my tumblr hosted blogs. More to come on the next upcoming days so I can't guarantee I can blog hop anytime soon but I will be once I get the hang of my new schedule. Oh, and BTW for those of you who are blogging in Tumblr I feel like I need to share this so called rant of mine... The "posted date" is no longer available. Meaning all entries can only be dated to the current date or scheduled date for upcoming days. All "back post" entries are no longer available so if you want to make an entry for a missed day you can forget about it. Sucks! :( It means a lot to me as I am trying to go back on those days that I have missed an opportunity to make a blog entry. Gah! *rageface*

Moving past that, I still am waiting for my mini planner. January is almost out of the window and that planner is still nowhere in sight. FUUU! But that won't stop me from starting my plans already. I'll just have to "back date" my plans when it gets here. At least on that planner I have the ability to go back in time... Hmmn, I guess I really am that upset with Tumblr as I am ranting about it again. Well, who wouldn't? They didn't even give a warning or an update about it. They just removed it all of a sudden. I checked the Tumblr Staff blog and there was no note at all regarding that change. *pokerface*

Okay, back to changes... I have made banners for certain updates that I will be featuring every week. My blog will now be featuring topics ranging from beauty tips, product review, outfit post, and question and answer every week. This way, my readers have reads they can look forward to check and not just one certain topic. :) Check out the banners...

Anyway, I have been able to squeeze in a new show called "Jane by design" and I am totally loving it! That's probably because I can relate and that I am aspiring for the same thing. Except I am no longer a teenager like her and I am not applying to become an intern in any fashion line. Somehow I feel like I have gone too old already. Aside from that show I am also hooked with American Idol which I have been following since season 1. All the aspiring singers surely brings color in my day. Some are truly talented and some are just totally out of character. Sometimes boyf would say I should try out and even if he claims he is not joking I know he just wants to be supportive but I will never stand a chance. I did at one point in my life aspired to learn to sing better, get a voice lesson and a guitar package. Except being tied with two jobs back then I knew already I won't have the time.

Verdict: The flat iron is very easy to use. Swivels in 360-degrees and avoids getting tangled cords. The heat adjuster and the on/off button is accessible on the side. The iron is coated in a ceramic plate that assures the user that the hair will not get burnt. While the heat protector spray adds extra protection and does not weigh the hair down. It is not sticky or messy and comes in a spray form. Do note that the Thermal Shine is scented but it is not that strong and floral like to smell. I know that not everyone like scented products, if so you might want to reconsider getting a different product.

Yes, last time it was for "buying shoes" and today its about blogging. I have made a commitment to keep an active blog and try to make "daily" updates. I knew what I am getting myself into on the very first place, but Lord! It is a lot of work. I guess I never really thought of how time consuming it will be. I know it's a great time waster, but I don't really have any more time to waste as managing multiple blogs, a social life, keeping up with tv shows, doing arts and craft at home, and try to come up with tutorials, tips, outfit post and reviews definitely don't fit well in a 24-hour schedule. *pokerface*

Busy Crafting and not Blogging

Some of you might be wondering why I haven't been online that much over twitter, facebook or blog hopping and that's because I got so engrossed trying to re-create things from scraps and old junks. I wanted to share it to all of you as well, but then I get all lazy taking pictures to document each step. Oops! *trollface* No worries I will still share DIY's just not today I suppose. Its been quite a while now that I have been ignoring my messy studio / makeup room and I made a promise to myself that I need to push myself and thrive harder. After all, I will benefit from it as well in the end. I really want a snazzy space that is designer like inspired and has a touch of art and fashion in it.

Hey there readers! Guess what? If yesterday's post got y'all raving, I'm sure my entry today is worth a hype or two as well. About mid of December, the owner of IRockCandy.com got in touch with me and proposed to have me as one of the faces they will feature on their site. They shared what is the concept of their work and what the site will be all about, and just after a few minutes of checking out their products I didn't even have to think about it. It was an obvious yes, the word just rolled out of my mouth without hesitation. If you remember, I am a big fan of blings and gems, so anything sparkly and shimmery gets my attention right off the bat. Yesterday I have shared that I'll be offline for almost the rest of the day and that's because I went to take care some personal biz. I wanted to make sure that I live up to my promise especially to my mama. I feel truly blessed and there's nothing more that I could ever ask for. Everything else would just come in as "extra" and even if I don't get have all my material wants its fine coz I have everything that I could ever want that no money can buy. Happiness, Love, Contentment, and Peace of mind. Anyway, aside from taking care of some personal biz I also managed to squeeze a little shopping. It's more like an investment rather than a so-called luxurious treat. I bought a mini sewing machine, some thread & needle, garter, fabric and even a cardboard and sketch pad which all came from my hard work that paid off. I am proud that I can say my blog is not just a blog, but it is a part of my life that makes me happy and helps me take care of my bills. Here's some pictures of my loot...

Poufy Updo Hairstyle

I chose to title this outfit post with "Beauté et l'élégance" which means Beauty and Elegance which is obviously inspired by the outfit. I feel very feminine with a hint of fierceness because of the daring corset top. Not too much skin but enough to make a statement. On a lighter note, I just thought it would be nice to have mobile computer carts handy so I don't have to fret around when I get headaches or migraine from over thinking on what should I be blogging or sharing next.

The title of my post today means "Blast from the Past" referring to my so-called love turned addiction towards classic and vintage ensembles. Every time I see movies like "Back to the Future" [which I was just watching this afternoon] I start gawking and ogling those ladies wearing their classic poofy dress or baloon type skirt and plain black high heels or stilettos. If I can thrift it all I would, except it seems like none of my neighbors are willing to sell their vintage clothes [prolly hugging the goodies all to themselves] or they simply aren't into sporting the look so they have long tossed it away before I could have even have the chance to buy it or swipe it off their hands. Today I have made an outfit ensemble that screams bold hues and is inspired by my favorite blogger Elsie of "A Beautiful Mess" [I'll make a blog entry this week sharing why I love her so much]...

Being a beauty blogger that reviews products and cosmetics I get a lot of question and emails from friends and bloggers alike asking for tips or beauty secrets. Just this morning I received a facebook message from a college girlfriend who wants to know "how I keep my skin perfect" ---which made my jaw drop and literally replied in a split second with a big "what?" in hope that I can exaggerate that response to let her know how shock I am. Obviously after that was a lengthy discussion and the whole nine yards of the truth. Here's the naked truth I DON'T HAVE A PERFECT SKIN! The pores in my nose is totally big and noticeable a dwarf can most likely fall inside. LOL. Okay fine! That's a bit over the top but seriously it's bad. I have to do prep my face first before anything to make all the pores and imperfection be less noticeable. So here's the million dollar question...

How to Fake Perfect Skin in 30 Seconds?

Forget anything that you think you already know about foundation or BB creams... it has come a long way from the days of your grandmother where it is plain cakey and masklike. The modern ones are lightweight and easy to apply like moisturizers. Celebrities look great not because of their flawless skin, but most often than not because they are using the right foundation that complements their skin. Here's how to get in on the Miracle...

Step 1: Find Your Perfect Color
CoverGirl makeup guru Pat McGrath reveals that "The color is correct if it disappears without blending", the best way to tell is to test on the jawline and check it in daylight.

Step 2: Prep Your Skin
For the perfect canvas, make sure your skin is clean and moisturized. Makeup pro Rachel Goodwin says the secret is to wait five minutes before applying foundation to let the moisturizer sink in. Primer is not necessary unless you want the makeup to last through a late night. Use of primer alone works well too as a quick complexion smoother. Also, primer can minimize pores and mattify the face.

Step 3: Swipe it on The Right Way
If you want just a little coverage, use your fingers. For more coverage, use a sponge or a stippling brush as it leaves just the right amount on the skin. To get an airbrushed finish blend the makeup all over by working your way out. Just remember, less is more.

Step 4: Do Concealer After Foundation
If you apply it before, you'll use more than you need. Also, that base of foundation keeps concealer crease-free. Look for a lightweight liquid in a color one shade lighter than your skin. Using a pointy brush cover the darkest part of under-eye circles usually right below the inner and outer corners.

Finish with Luminous Powder
Unlike the old matte version, it won't suck the life out of your face. Translucent powder that reflect the light helps skin glow and take down shine. Dust one on in a "W" motion starting from the hairline on one side, swoop down to the cheekbone, up to bridge of the nose, back down to the other cheek, then up again to the opposite hairline.

Hopefully you find this entry worth reading. If I have a million bucks I would invest in getting a dermatologist look at my oversize pores and have it fixed. I'd most likely get a laser eye surgery too so I don't have to wear glasses or graded lenses anymore. Then I would buy morgan silver dollars for sale so I can save up and eventually open my own cosmetic or clothing line... but then again I don't so for now that's all a part of my dream. Today I started my day really early. Got off the house at 8:40am to go to the bank and pay rent. It was really freezing outside. I have noticed that the street is somehow shimmering with a bit of ice particles. That can only mean two things, first wearing high heeled boots would most definitely be not a good idea as it will be slippery and second that winter snow is starting to fall. I got off the bank pretty quick. It was an "in-and-out" transaction. So even if I have planned to head home straight after the bank, since everything went too quick I found myself half hour later in the midst of the plaza shopping. LOL. My feet surely knows where to take me. They say pair your feet with a nice shoes and it will take you places. Mine surely did. HA! So, I ended up with a few hauls!!! I even got earmuffs, which makes me happy as I finally got to replace my old ones that I left in my old place. Speaking of winter snow, that is also a reminder that winter is out the door and some of my friends are heading back to work or school and because of that I got inspired to mix and match an outfit that bids winter break goodbye...

Take a grip, this post would be all about my love for my iPhone and gadgets. Yep, it's that topic again. Ha! Today is a very relaxing day for me, I didn't do much blogging or photo taking. I decided to take some time off and relax. Actually, more than relaxing as I pampered myself to a nice little treat of manicure and pedicure as I watch Drop Dead Diva. I know right? FUN! I even blinged up my nails! Totally perfect to match my blinged up iPhone. Almost finished watching the whole first season. OMG I know, I'm geeking out. To my delight, boyf even surprised me with a message saying I shouldn't cook dinner so we can go out and check the new Chinese place that opened up nearby.

This morning I woke up with messages in my fb messenger that left me wide awake despite wanting to go back to sleep. LOL. First message is from my best friend Chelle who's busting my chops intentionally for teasing me of "pandesal" which is a bread that is famous in the Philippines. I love pairing pandesal with "pancit canton" and coffee for breakfast. Then a few "how am I" questions from friends. Right after deciding to get out of the bed and get going on my daily online activity I ended up halting my schedule to help out my friend April of "I-am-Queen-Bee" to change her layout. Nothing major, I kept the design simple, minimal and clean. I also implemented a little bee which I thought was really cute. LOL. Then as I get on with my day, I remembered that I have promised to make another look featuring the long sleeve shirt [the one I have used as a skirt]. So here's a few snaps for today...

Chic and Corporate inspired. A look that can be worn as a formal ensemble for either going out or for going to work. Highly recommended for the trendy fashionista who can never find the time to leave her office. I've been there before, working 9-5 shift and getting to work way early and leaving work really late. Only to repeat the same thing the next day. Like as if I never even left work. Mind you back in those days I even take the bus to get home so that is extra time away from home. LOL. By the time I get home I'm really hungry and tired and just have enough time to squeeze a few shows and doze off. Don't get me started when I had multiple jobs at hand. Yep. At one point I worked a full time day job as a Jr. Admin. Officer in Gilmore Bank and held a part time job at the Pacific Theaters selling movie tickets and popcorn and cleaning movie houses. You can just imagine how tired I get. But then, that is a whole different story. Not like any of you are interested to hear my rants anyway. LOL.

About a week ago I have received an iPhone 4 Bling Case from LuxAddiction.com to be reviewed. Since I have always loved blings in my gadgets, their product is obviously something I am looking forward to receive. The package came in a small box and the case is sealed in bubble wrap. The bubble wrap secures the casing from being crushed or cracked. Upon taking off the wrap the case comes in a small pouch with lace embroidery.

For the LOVE of Apps

As most of you know, I am a gadget-holic. My latest craze is diverted to my loving iPhone 4 to the point of neglecting and forgetting my equally loved Blackberry Tour. In fact, it is currently sulking in a dark corner of my drawer hating my iPhone. My love for the latest tech is like getting hungry on a normal day. That's how typical it is or me. To the point that I am actually considering selling off my BB along with my iPhone 4 so I can combine the sale and purchase an iPhone 4s with that. I am trying to convince myself to hold off for the iPhone 5 but that won't be out in another more year or so, which makes things a lot more complicated for me. Nonetheless, my iPhone will always be the Apple of my eye. LOL. Overkill? hahaha. Anyway, my labs Abhie of AbhieHalili.com and irog Donna of PreciousMelody.com have asked me what Apps do I have and what can I recommend. Just the thought of listing all the apps down one by one horrified me. Yep! It's that many that I don't even know where to start. So I decided it is worth making a blog entry dedicated for that. Keeping Treasured Memories

Hi everyone! Not much of an update today. I'm not really feeling very well today so I won't be making my usual post. As much as I can, I try my best to keep my resolution of making daily updates. With all honesty, my back pain is so terrible I don't even want to get out of the couch or bed. The pain is just too much to take that I just want to lay down and have my back supported by a big cushy pillow as I watch some shows or play some games on my phone. So for today, I'll be sharing something short and simple, my take for keeping treasured memories. As you may all know I love taking pictures, and taking photographs is a part of my kind-of daily activity. Yep, daily! If you're following me in Instagram you'd know that my daily cooking are being featured there. LOL. It's my way to document my cooking experience and if I am getting any better at it. With all the pictures that I have taken, my iPhone alone held more than 2,000 photos. Yikes! While the photos that I have taken with my SLR is separated into 3 different SD cards, which I hate as I don't like popping different SD card every time I need a picture from one of those. Obviously, I would want to store it all in one place but my portable hard drive have a very small space left and I dedicated that space for freeing up some space on my iPhone. So when boyf gave me a hard drive an hour ago you can bet how happy I am. Check out the pictures below...

The 150GB is the latest addition to my media storage family. I have quite a few already and this hard drive is my much needed upgrade. Here's a few pictures of my memory card and portable hard drive collection.

I started with 1GB, then a few 2GB, an 8GB [that broke after using it less than 5x so no more Sandisk brand for me] *sobs* waste of money. Then of course a few more up until I got my very first portable hard drive which is also from boyf. Tee-hee-hee. Since my newest hard drive is in plain gray plated casing I have decided that I will be blinging it up. LOL. I'll update this post once I'm done.

Lately I noticed how much I have been stressing out using bold and bright colors in terms of outfit combination. My ensemble had always been on the safe side so today I'll be sharing something a tad more bold than my usual dark shade outfits. As you may remember I have received quite a few clothes from boyf this past Christmas and included on my big haul is a bright red top. As a matter of fact it's my first red top in ages! The only other red top I have would be my red t-shirt and that's it. Talk about being totally "limited". At times like this I do wish that I am in my Mama's house so I can ransack all her cabinets and start trying her old clothes. Even my great grandmother's! Just the thought of it makes me excited. I'm sure I'll be finding lots of vintage looking dress and tops. Oh well, maybe next time. My current look title means "Bold and Brave" and here are some pictures to look at...

No Longer a Wall Flower

A few weeks back, I have stressed out to myself that I will be trying out bold colors this year. So, I have sat down and spent time in Polyvore thinking of a nice combination that features something bright and something bold. Somehow I simply can't seem to drop the shade of black from my picks. In my opinion, black will always be sexy and plus it is really safe to wear and matches well with anything. The boldest that I have went for this look is the eye catching gold shade of the shorts and accessories. The clutch purse is in cream shade which acts as a neutral color againts the black and gold. Check out the look below...

The look is very elegant and sophisticated. It shows enough skin but not too much, and features some curves around the hips but loose enough on the top to add a touch of mystery. The title of this look is "No Longer a Wall Flower" as this look shows that the person wearing it have finally stepped out from their comfort zone. Not all the way out there yet, but the vivid combination of color and style proves that the person wearing this look is confident and stylish.

This outfit is perfect for a night out, a gathering or get together. It doesn't matter if you're a blogger, a student or in a Medical or Health Services Manager Jobs as being presentable is always a must.

Lastly, no matter how lovely and gorgeous you look if you don't know how to carry yourself all of these would be in vain. So remember sit like a girl, don't flop like a fish and walk like a girl, don't waddle like a duck. All else, have fun!

Review: Born Pretty Hair extension

Being a Fashion and Style blogger I have promised to try my best to deliver quality post and reads. So far, I am very happy to share that the feedback I gathered were all positive. It makes me wonder at times what happened to all of them bashers, haters, and negative people who leaves rude comments or remarks on my blog. Then again, I just realized I haven't seen them around since I have moved this blog from tumblr. While the other blog that is still hosted there currently have no active comment system and the ask box disabled. LOL. Anyway, from all my outfit post I have received a few questions on how I do or take care of my hair. Even got a twitter mention if I have dyed my hair blonde. Honestly the answer is simple, it's all in the wig or extensions. I love experimenting on different kinds of wig to make a different look. Extensions on the other can make my hair look fuller, livelier, longer, or even stylish with an ombre look.

The ombre look is where you have your hair in two different shades. The top lighter and the tips are darker or the other way around. Just last week, I have received a 22'' 20cm Dark Brown Stylish Straight Hair Accessories Extensions from www.bornprettystore.com and today I am sharing my review for the said product. My advise for those who wants to have a fuller hair layer some extensions in your hair. Then curl the tips a little bit to add some style. If not, you can also choose to just use bump it's and have a little bumped up mane and straight all the way down. This product is very easy to use and very affordable too!

Verdict: The hair is very soft to touch and blends perfectly with my thin and straight hair. Easy to comb/brush out. A few strands came loose, but perfectly normal for the first few usage of any wig or extension. So far I have been using it for more than a week and there are barely almost no hairfall at all now.

Overall: 10/10 retail price is $5.20 plus shipping. If you are looking to buy more than a few the price gets lower. My tip for those who have thin hair like me, buy 4-5 extension for a semi-full look and 6-7 for full and thicker hair.

Yes, Tangerine / Orange is the new color of 2012. Some of you may be a fan of bright colors, I on the other hand have been comfortable with solid dark colors. As a matter of fact, at one point I have only sported black and white all year. *pokerface* I know right? Totally crazy. So I have promised myself that this year before I turn another year older [no not anytime soon] I will try to be bolder and braver with fashion, style and life itself. We only live once right? Tangerine is definitely a bright color but does not necessarily have to be worn by itself. Mixing and matching should do the job or you can also try color blocking and even accentuating with accessories. That should tone down the bright shade. Here's a few sample you can check out...

DIY: Fringe Necklace

Some of my friends have asked when and what will be my next DIY project. So today I am sharing another trendy yet easy to do Fringe Necklace. We all know about it, we've seen it in runways and we obviously want it but the price tag is quite heavy on the pocket! Plus, not everyone has access to a local store with knock off accesories or apparel. For the frugal fashionista a DIY is obviously the choice. I envy my friends in the Philippines who can immediately buy trendy stuff for less. To those of you who are experiencing the same dilemma, worry no more as I have prepared a simple step by step guide to make your own fringe necklace.

The title means "Shine like a star" and I meant that for my first outfit post for 2012. *YAY* We all have a shining star inside of us. If we don't ever try, that star will forever be hidden. I know not all of us are very vocal or straight forward on doing things, some of the people I know are even the shy type but its 2012! If it were true [the so called end of the world] prediction which I don't believe by the way] then we don't have any time to waste. Even if it's not going to happen, why should we hold back and restrict ourselves? Hello everyone! First of before I share my super fun new years eve I want to greet y'all a Happy New Year and wish all of you a Prosperous one.

Did any of you light fireworks? Got drunk like crazy? Went on a trip? Dine out with friends or Family? ...or maybe all of the above? LOL. I pretty much did all and I had a blast! It's been a while since I greeted the New Year like this crazy! Anyway let me first share that while on the road I have seen a swarm of birds and I'm guessing they're migrating as the snow is about to fall. I have never seen them like that not even in person, it kind of reminded me of killer locust about to attack on those horror movies. Yikes! See the photos below...

Then as you may guess already, I'm super hungry ---well I am always hungry. LOL. Headed out to Hard Rock but Da*n they're charging $150 per person just to enter as it is new years eve I was like WTF that's crazy! Off to a local restau I was just disappointed... the penne pasta was super hard so I had to ask the server to toss it back in a pan and when it came back not much was changed with the quality of the pasta. It does look good but it was just horrible. *poker face* Then boyf accidentally knocked the wine glass off and got me wet and the pasta soaked. pft! So I thought it was an excuse to have a different dish and I ordered myself lasagna ---it was BLAND! It tastes nothing! :( That didn't ruin the night tho' especially it's new years eve. Here's a few snaps.

Hello Loves! :) I wonder how y'all are planning to end your year and welcome the new one coming. I know most of you would celebrate it with your fambams [family] or be out partying. Today I won't sharing any outfit or review post like the usual. Prolly not even tomorrow *ZOMG* I know... but that can wait. :P Anyway, I am heading out to celebrate New Years so before I go I decided to share what I did last night... I made my second try for a 2-layer cake [So scared it would be so crappy like my first] and luckily it turned out good this time. Maybe 3rd time is a charm and be able to perfect it and make a cake that looks like it is bought from a real bakeshop like Red Ribbon or Goldilocks. Sometimes it is sad because I miss being around her but then we all have to grow up at one poiint right? I supposed I just grew up a lot more earlier than other as I started off living on my own at the age of 20. About a month after I turned 20 I moved out and went back to California to try and get myself a job and work and try to help with my fam's expenses. I managed a lot of hardship and even homesickness. I went through so much ups and downs including discrimination and getting laid off. I am proud that at my age I have learned and accomplished what I have. Although, in my personal opinion nothing can beat working at the convenience of your own home as a blogger. :) Well, enough about my rant... time to get y'all more hungry. I'm a big fan of classic and vintage fashion. The way they wear their clothes and feathered or netted hats. The way the ladies of the 50's, 60's, or 70's bring themselves looks superbly fabulous! As you may see that shawl is not really a shawl. LOL. Its actually a scarf that is stretchy in material and I have always been fond of furry like texture. Every time I wrap it around my neck I usually say I wish I have a top with the same fabric, then obviously the DIY diva in me thought why don't I try using it like one? *trollface* So, came this look where it seems like I'm actually wearing a very nice looking top / shawl. The flower in the scarf is not really a pin or a brooch, it fell off from an old headband and I decided to keep it for future use. I guess i finally did find a good use for it. Christmas had left me with a big smile in my face. I truly am blessed and I am very grateful for everything. I am happy just to be able to wake up each day and have another chance to do what I love to do. Like I have said before I am not a religious person but a part of my new years resolution is to try and have a little more prayer time. Hi everyone! Hope your Christmas turned out well. Mine sure did. Last year was a lot more simple and boring. This year was definitely more festive and bright. Went out of town. :) There's nothing more I could ask for. I enjoyed my Christmas eve, spent the whole day strolling around, went to the cinema house and watched Mission Impossible [which turned out to be another impossible action LOL], and had bountiful lunch and dinner! My Christmas Day started a bit late and woke up around noon [yep] and headed out for lunch. The ambiance was definitely nice, cozy and romantic. They were playing some mellow music too. Here's a few snaps to look at...

Mouth watering right? The carbonara turned out a little less than what I expected I had better ones. I would say I like my home cooked carbonara better, then again my version is also a lot more fattening. :P Afterwards another trip to the Cinema house to watch Sherlock Holmes. It reminded me of how much I like to read those books before. I actually plan to download the previous movie and watch it. No worries... my blog will still come first before any other leisure activity. lah! The movie turned out a little slow when it comes to action tho' and just felt somehow tired and sleepy. I guess the weather contributes as well. a little quick rest back in our hotel and I went for a so-so nap. When I woke up its time to get out again and watch some live improv. comedy in a bar. It's actually my first time so I didn't know what to expect. Turned out totally awesome! For Dinner I gave up with my first plate as it was another buffet for unlimited ribs.

Hi everyone! Well... it's almost Christmas Eve! I know not all of you celebrate this holiday, but I still want to extend my best wishes to y’all. Some people I know simply just don’t feel too festive but in my opinion, whatever we might be going through we still need time to appreciate and give thanks. I decided to dedicate this day to share a personal thought blog post instead of my regular product review, outfit post, diy, and so on. It doesn’t matter what religion we have, we all have something to be thankful and grateful for. I’m going to keep it real before any of you starts hating and bashing my blog entry if not the whole blog itself. Like I have said before I am not a sacred catholic, despite growing up with people who are. If you are a twitter follower or a close friend you would most likely be aware already of the entire crazy BS that I deal with from time to time. Actually scratch that as that is obviously an understatement, it’s actually in a regular basis and some of you may bring that up, ask me anon questions [which I will ignore again] so I just want to share that I am trying to just forgive and move past that. Okay, maybe I am being a little extra nice… okay I’m lying … I do wish for karma to take action but then, it’s just like wishing a person harm or bad which I don’t do. I am human, I make mistakes too, I make bad choices too… and since it’s Christmas time I just want to be happy and hopefully that person will be happy too and maybe someday realize that and get over this whole drama.

Today I have made an outfit post for the tote bag and Lita boots I have received yesterday. I wanted to keep things simple and still be able to feature the two without making it clash. So I decided to stick with black and white shade for my outfit. For the top I wore Cream / Off-white double breasted jacket and for bottoms Black Leopard print tights to match my boots. I like how the tote bag stand out as I carried it around my arms. The Giraffe boy and Elephant girl print surely is an attention seeker. Who wouldn't be intrigued by the artistic design? I am loving Inverted Commas design, I honestly like all their design, but have completely fallen in love with the tote bag I have at hand. Lulz at the title, it meant "I am Beautiful". I really can't think of anything creative. As obvious as it may seem, I love sporting blondish hair. I have tried it numerous times already and I will never get tired of it. Actually, if my memory serves me right the first time I have sported blonde locks I have been referred to as an asian barbie which had contributed to my online nickname Korean Doll. It sounded cute and appropriate so it immediately became my fave. alias. Since then I refer myself as a Korean Pinay Doll as I am a mix of both Filipino and Korean race. As a matter of fact, I don't know anyone of my age who have the same mix as I do. I have asked my boyf if I can bleach my hair to blonde this time but he still refuses as he likes dark hair better. Exactly a year ago at this time I was just about to dye my blonde hair to black as obviously boyf requested for it. I love my locks and have spent a loooong time in the salon to get my hair done only to dye it dark after a few months. Sigh. The things we do to please and make our love ones' happy. Oh well. I love the song "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera and no matter what I will always believe I am beautiful no matter what. We all have different characteristics that makes us unique. I have nothing againts having dark hair or whatever. I have seen a lot of people bashing xiaxue for going blonde and such, so I am already noting ahead that I am simply sharing my love for blonde locks and the only reason I can give is that I look extra pretty and to be honest it makes me feel like a princess, or angel like / fairy. Lame but it's the truth. So I don't care if any haters would say otherwise.

...and of course I immediately showed boyf how the blonde wig looks on me. His exact words were "I'm not going to lie, it looks good on you. You look lovely...as always." that was indeed sweet, and I thought that was my cue to try and convince him again about having my hair bleached so I tried...

Me: So I can dye my hair blonde?
Boyf: What?
Me: I said... can I dye my hair blonde now?
Boyf: Huh? I can't understand what you're saying...
Me: LMFAO fine... I get it now. :(

Silly goose pretending he can't hear or understand so he doesn't have to say NO. Pft! Oh well. But I didn't give up. I asked if I can dye it to a darker shade than platinum blonde. He said OK. Great! I got a box of ash blonde then. HA! I just hope my hair doesn't turn orangey. If it does I'll just have to wait 3-4 weeks and I'll dye it darker. So what do you guys think?

Designer DIY: Make Your Own “$1,000” T-Shirt

Went shopping lately? Have you ever seen something that you really want? Or browsed online, and thought it's simple and easy to make but never thought of making it yourself? I have. Just this week, I have stumbled upon Vogue's featured article regarding designers making a $1000 t-shirt. When I saw Prabal Gurung's creation, I immediately fell in love with the simplicity of the design and thought, maybe I can try stealing the look and make one like it. So I went and looked for my old dress and an old t shirt to copy the design. Luckily my dress already have a big bow in it, so all I have to do is snip it out and attach it to the shirt. I just had a little challenge with removing the mini chest pocket that was sewn in on my t-shirt. Fortunately I was able to snip it off clean and have successfuly removed the bow and the pocket without leaving any rips or holes. Check out the pictures below to see what I came up with.

From Polo Shirt to Stylish Skirt

Every once in a while I get this tired feeling for seeing the same assortment of clothes that I have from my drawers and cabinet. I'm sure all of you have felt the same at one point too. It's like you do have clothes to choose from, yet there is still no clothes you can wear. So as always, I tried thinking out of the box and mixed and match my clothes. This time, I tried wearing a long sleeve polo shirt ---as a skirt! Yep. Mind you, it turned out looking neat and stylish. I'm not just saying that to exaggerate but just stating the obvious. In my opinion, it looked really stylish as the cuffs on the sleeves emphasized the big bow [ribbon] that wrapped the shirt in my waist. DIY Envelope Clutch

I have been seeing a lot of women sporting an "Envelope Clutch Bag" and obviously I want one too! As always I don't want to be spending money I don't even have at the moment. So you can imagine already how I feel. Miserable. How I wish I have my great grandmother's sewing machine, or the portable sewing machine I have bought from craigslist... except they're both in the Philippines and there is just NO way I would ever have those shipped as it will cost way too much. I honestly think if I would do that I am better off buying a brand new one as it will be at the same price range. Although, even if I don't have a sewing machine I won't give up just yet on making my own clutch bag. I'll just have to do it the old school way and do it manually by hand. Yep.

DIY Cosmic Shirt Top

If you're into fashion, then you'd know one of the latest craze are "cosmic shirts" and since I'm a frugal shopper [plus I'm broke already after shopping for xmas] I have no choice but to keep gawking at those stylish tees. Then it hit me, why should I let myself sulk in misery for not being able to get what I want when I can make one for myself! I haven't been into crafts lately but I have been known to be the "makalkal" type as I was growing up. I learned how to operate my great grandmothers vintage sewing machine at the age of 10. I even sheered and cut my way out of our old curtain fabric so I can make a so-called dress back then. Which is why at one point my mama had wanted me to pursue interior designing but I didn't. Oh well, that is a whole different story already. Back to our cosmic shirt design... in my opinion, just because it's expensive doesn't mean you can't have it... Money isn't always an issue if you let creativity take over. :] Can't buy it, Make it! ♥

Typical DIY Tutorials for cosmic shirts requires you to have a Fabric Paint or some dye and since I want to make use of what I have at my disposal I tried Nail Polish and it worked just fine. :)

So there you have it! Your very own custom made cosmic shirt. I didn't even have to spend any to get the shirt I wanted! But be warned, it is time consuming. It took me about 3 hours to finish it all up! The knotting is the longest one to do and will require lots of patience. ;] Also just so you know, your fingers might end up a little sore after all the tugging, knotting and pulling. If you can, while spraying bleach on the shirt have a mask or bandanna over your nose. I just can't deal it as I feel like I'm suffocating but then after a few hours of being exposed [right now] I tend to feel so sick-ish and dizzy. Please bleach with caution. Will post pictures of the look later. For now I'm off to rest and this post is getting quite long already. :P Let me know what y'all think! I have made up my mind. I'm going to start doing more DIY entries. I used to do a lot of them back in the day. I had tons of arts and craft books as I was growing up and had always had a big fascination for mixing and matching. Well, I have realized that I do have a place to share my ideas, and even my weird style and such here in my blog. Who cares if anyone disapprove. Not like any of you would really waste time to tell me off. Plus bashers and haters will only end up encouraging my conceit so that still works for me. Lah! Anyway... I have started ransacking for old clothes and stuff that I can recycle and I have found a few already. Geez my brain is just working non stop for ideas. Then there are those days when I am simply clueless on what to share. So while my creative juice is still at work... time to get to work. :]

Since I am into fashion I have seen a couple of girls wearing camo jackets and I have always wanted one. Except they are quite expensive if you buy it tailored to a certain size and shape. While the original one is too big! So obviously I'm quite lost. I resorted to the cheaper version, to what I have at hand which is the actual camo ones and it is huge! So I got my working hands started and here's what I end up with...

Laced Up Ankle Boots

Lately I just noticed I have taken a sharp turn in terms of caring how I look. Before, I simply couldn't care less and would just throw on whatever I can find from my stack of old clothes. I do the same thing when it comes to footwear as I have always invested my savings over makeup and food. Lah, I'm like a cow I'm always hungry! :P No kidding, I eat like a guy if not more. But now, all I want is to be able to save up so I can shop for a complete wardrobe update. Okay, enough about that... Two days ago I shared my mini section for taking pictures and a lot of you have noticed my mini shoe collection. When I say MINI I mean it... my collection is nowhere close to that of Imelda Marcos. I wish someday to own as many pairs of shoes or at least half. :)

Yes, it's the boots! What else could it be? Lulz. The title of this post should be obvious enough already. Ha! Well... I have CG to thank for them gorgeous boots! Not like he knows about this blog, but just in case he does I want to share that the boots is uber lovely! He bought them from my wishlist in Amazon.

To those of you who will ask who CG is, I have the slightest clue as well. Ha! I only know him by his initials and have only chit chatted with him for a few minutes. He contacted me using "kik" and shared how much he admires my pretty feet. :P Which is why he got me this Laced Up Booties as a gift. How sweet! Well, I don't mind having foot fetish guys like him adore my feet if that means I get well pampered in return. ;) Oh... and you know what's awkward and funny at the same time? It's boyf who received the package for me. Lah! But he don't mind. He understands well that there are guys out there who likes me and that can't be helped. With all honesty who doesn't love freebies? I love shopping, I love shoes, I love clothes, I love accessories, and most of all I LOVE SURPRISES! How I wish I am rich... LOL. Review: Magic Color Nudy Gray

Someone's looking korean-ish! Lulz. Thanks to Magic Color lens my eyes don't look so plain and boring. I have been asked by a couple of my blogger girlfriends what lens am I using on certain profile pictures I have posted in facebook. So I decided why not just share a review for it. So for today, I will be sharing my opinion and experience with Magic Color in Nudy Gray. Here are some close up shots on how the lens look in my eyes.

Verdict: It's comfortable to wear. Does not dry quickly and quite easy to apply. Watch out tho' if you have long nails like me as that can tear or damage the lens. So handle with care. For enlargement of the eyes this does not do much as this is a basic lens design. If you aim to enlarge your eyes for a bold look, go for lenses with black rims on the outer part. Nudy lens gray is made for those who wants to keep their look natural and simple.

Overall: 7/10 retail price is $18 shipping not included from amazon. Not bad if you're just looking for a simple eye color enhancement. If you want a much more dramatic look I suggest to try the lenses with deeper shades. Gave 7 as I would rather pay around $12-$15 for a minimal and simple design rather than $18. This products can be purchased from Amazon

Project Mini Studio

I have always wanted a small studio... obviously not the professional black and white with those big lights and camera kit. I don't have the money to invest on that yet. But I do hope to have one someday. So far I have made a little progress. I managed to have a desk in one corner so I have a little space for my makeup. I made use of the empty wall and stack up a little shoe rack so it would look nice and I can take pictures beside it. I love how it turned out so for now it looks like it will be my little spot to share outfit post. Eventually I will save up and get some wall decors, hanging japanese lantern lights, furry carpet and matching animal printed curtains. Except that would take quite some time, for now whatever I have will do. Here are some shots I took beside my shoe rack...

1. Would you ever get yourself inked (tattooed)? If yes, what design would you get?
I wanted to get cuff links on both ankles [amazona like] to symbolize being grounded on the floor and to always remember my roots. Other tattoo would be my bitch mark [or that's what they call it] with my hubby's name.

2. How do you feel about gay marriages being legalized?
Mixed. I have nothing against gay people. I have gay friends. I will support them. But will be mixed because of my catholic religion as it does say it is not permitted.

3. If you were the president/prime minister of (insert your country here), what would be your number one priority?
World Peace! LOL... nah I would most likely just start with prioritizing help for the poor, the elderly, and the soldiers serving our country.

4. Do you think you have what it takes to become a parent?
Won't know until I actually raised a kid. But I believe I do.

5. Would you ever attempt to argue with a drunk person? Why?
I always do... LOL. I love messing with the boyf when he's drunk and or tipsy.

I wouldn't really change anything as that would make a me a different person... but if any I would g back to when i was 14 and totally delete a certain situation off my life.

Stop and help... i'm running late anyway. Plus I can always make up to it at work to come ine early, not all the time I can have a chance to help an elderly crossing the street.

Review: BRTC Blemish Recover Balm

A few months back I have reviewed BB creams and have promised to try out other brands. I haven't forgotten about that promise. My schedule just got so mixed up, especially having two class at the same time. I got so swamped with paperwork and had less time for myself, and when I do I try to just relax and update my fb and twitter. Sorry! Well, my other class just ended so here I am making a comeback and with my promised review.

I chose to try BRTC Blemish Recover Balm, FDA approved Sun care with SPF 28 PA ++ and Mineral oil free/Dermatologist Test Completed.

As far as application, it comes out really thick and creamy. It's very white-ish too and at first I was concerned that it would come out too light in my pale yellowish skin. I tried roght away and after blending it turns out alright and give or take half an hour it starts oxidizing and comes off looking natural. If I were to judge it at first I'd say I'm not really into it, but after seeing how it blends well on my skin when it oxidizes I'd give it a whopping awesome! My skin looks bright, with glow, and most of all not cakey! More photos ahead!

CamWhore Photo of the Moment

Verdict: really blends well and covers up blemishes nicely. I dislike the super creamy texture upon application bu makes up well after oxidizing. Very little dollop amount needed and stays well on skin and don't need to re-apply. Touch up of powder or oil control film if needed.

Overall: 9/10 retail price is $20+ depending on where you will purchase the product. I bought mine from ebay for $22 including shipping fee. Highly recommended and will try again. Covers up blemishes and red skin transform it to clean and flawless finish. This product can be purchased through Ebay.

La Beauté Bohème

You want to flatter your top half and accentuate your bottom half. Spaghetti straps and high neck lines are not for you. Go for wide v-neck styles and dresses that nip in at the waist and fall straight down from the hips.

Bottom heavy

Not much update for today. I know I have yet to share something really worth reading but my class is taking up so much of my time. Like today for instance, I really want to share some great reads or a beauty product review yet my final essay is wearing me down so I'm out of choice but to resort to a rather short post. I am not sure how y'all handle your paperwork. Some people are good in organizing their time, while some like me end up cramming. I try my best to do my task from day one yet I usually end up having a memory block. ugh. Oh well. So after a long day of being jammed in between my book, microsoft word, note pad and pen I decided to indulge myself in a mini-shopping online. Shopping always helps me relieve some stress. Are you a mobile geek? I am. My attachment to my gadgets is so strong that from morning 'til night my activity includes using at least one of my techie stuff. Most often than not it's my iPhone that keeps me connected online even on the go. I had my iPhone for a few months now I am so in-love with it. My springboard is loaded with tons of apps which consist most of camera or game application. Before having an iPhone I used to have a Blackberry and a Nokia. Almost all apps that I have is available on the phones I used to use. They just have different interface. So if you love taking pictures I suggest to try looking into this two apps that I love the most...
