DIY Envelope Clutch

I have been seeing a lot of women sporting an "Envelope Clutch Bag" and obviously I want one too! As always I don't want to be spending money I don't even have at the moment. So you can imagine already how I feel. Miserable. How I wish I have my great grandmother's sewing machine, or the portable sewing machine I have bought from craigslist... except they're both in the Philippines and there is just NO way I would ever have those shipped as it will cost way too much. I honestly think if I would do that I am better off buying a brand new one as it will be at the same price range. Although, even if I don't have a sewing machine I won't give up just yet on making my own clutch bag. I'll just have to do it the old school way and do it manually by hand. Yep.

If you're like me who can't wait to save up and want to steal the look your favorite fashion blogger is sporting then this entry is definitely for you! No need for a sewing machine, just prepare some time and effort. Here's a simple visual guide to make your own version...

I decided to make myself a Paris Map envelope clutch, so I dug up my junk box and looked for the map I took home as a souvenir. That way I can have the bag I have always wanted and be able to preserve the memories I had in Paris and be able to take it with me too! Ha, now I get to hit two birds in one stone. ;] If you have any question, suggestion, or request feel free to let me know. Til' next xoxo.

  11. DIY is more fun. It requires your creativity, your resourcefulness and patience. Once you're done, another things is to share it for others to benefit from. That's what I call generosity by doing!

  29. Cool idea for keeping a souvenir! ^_^

I used to make DIY bags when I was younger. I enjoyed doing it in my Home Ed class so much that I continued on til college. I stopped when my schedule got all hectic. This reminded me of that. I gave away most of the ones I made though.
