How I Keep My Self Updated About Fashion Trends All The Time

Thursday, May 30, 2013 0 comments
As a fashion blogger, keeping my self updated about the current trends, fashion events and happenings is a must. This is the only way I can keep on sharing my fashion driven thoughts and ideas to my dear readers and followers of this blog. So if you are quite eager to know where my fashion inspiration and thoughts are coming from, this article will satisfy it out.

Watching TV Shows
Since I spent a lot of time at home, I am quite updated with current TV shows available around my area. So how do I get my inspiration out of it? Simple, I carefully look at TV show personalities’ clothing and accessories. If they look nice and it interests me, quite sure you can hear about it at my blog either as a form of review or analysis. This is the reason why I want a brand new TV at home. Maybe with the TV deals going on, I can get a brand new one with the latest technology for a more convenient and pleasurable watching.

Reading Blogs And Articles Online
Reading is learning and I live by it. Whenever I got extra time, I see to it that I visit known fashion blogs or websites for me to know what’s new and what’s hot around. It can also give me an inspiration or idea what to write about.

Reading Traditional Newspapers And Magazines
Some newspapers and magazines doesn’t post their newest issue (contents) online, they just give a preview of it. For me to see what’s inside, I have to buy or subscribe to their issues every month. I can say that its money well spent because aside from giving me a printed big picture of the latest fashion trend, I can also use them as materials for my blog posts (with full credits going to the magazine of course).

There are still more sources where I get my fashion ideas and blog posts. What I mentioned above are just the common and basic ones. So if you are eager to know the trends or you want to become a fashion blogger as well, doing what I do (to get good inspiration) is a good start for you.

5 Ways To Treat Your Hair Organically

Tuesday, May 28, 2013 0 comments
Drug store hair care products are expensive, loaded with chemicals and sometimes even tested on animals. Switching to "organic" manufactured products is even more expensive and offers no guarantee about what's really in the bottle. Instead of giving up and settling for bottles full of chemicals that can be absorbed into your delicate scalp and irritate your skin, keep in mind that true organic hair care can be done at home with only a few ingredients from the grocery store or natural health store. These treatments are just as effective, and have the added benefit of knowing exactly what you're putting on your head. Here are five excellent do-it-yourself organic hair care treatments.

1. Island Coconut Hair Conditioner

What You Need:

1 ripe avocado

1 cup of organic coconut milk

Remove the peel and the pit from the avocado and place it in a medium bowl. Use a fork or masher to carefully mash the avocado to a smooth consistency. Add coconut a little at a time, stirring until the mixture is smooth. Continue adding until the mixture has the consistency of basic conditioner. Work the mixture through your hair, starting at your roots and finishing with the ends. Secure your hair on top of your head with a clip if necessary. Let the conditioner sit for 15 minutes before rinsing hair. Follow with your normal womens hair shampoo.

2. Herb Infused Hot Oil Treatment

What You Need:

1/4 cup of rosemary, dried

1/4 cup of organic sunflower oil

Shower cap

Combine the rosemary and oil in a small saucepan on low heat and heat until warm. Strain the mixture through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Cover your hair from roots to ends with the hot oil and secure the shower cap on our head. Let hair absorb the treatment for 15 minutes and follow with shampoo, making sure to remove all the oil.

3. Asian Dandruff Remedy

What You Need:

Root of Ginger

1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tsp sesame oil, organic

Use a garlic press to squeeze ginger and reserve 1 tsp of juice. Blend the ingredients. Cover your scalp with the mixture and allow it to dry before shampooing as normal. The treatment should be used thrice weekly.

4. Daily Clarifying Vinegar Treatment

What You Need:

1 1/2 cups very cold water

1/2 cup vinegar, cider

Blend ingredients in a small bottle or vessel. Follow your normal hair cleansing routine, abstaining from conditioner. Pour the mixture throughout your hair. Do not rinse the mixture, the smell will rapidly disappear on its own. Conditioner will not be necessary.

5. Colour Booster For Redheads

What You Need:

1/4 cup organic juice, beet

1/4 cup organic juice, carrot

Shower cap

Mix juices together and coat clean, dampened hair with the mixture. Apply shower cap and then wrap head in a hot towel, use a hair dryer on a medium setting or sit in direct sunlight for approximately one hour. When heating is complete, shampoo hair as normal.
